Shorten ritualist spirit range
Flames coming in 1, 2, 3...
Anyway, It's not that big a deal because the rit spirits (defensive ones, not the attacking ones) only live for a few seconds before they are killed, but the range of the spirits should not be the same as rangers. Ranger spirits affect EVERYONE, so it's ok for them to have the size of 3 times your aggro radius. Rit spirits, however, only affect your team, and don't deserve a range that wide.
On a similar note, the offensive rit spirits (pain, shadowsong, etc) have longbow range, which may or may not be too much range.

The range doesnt affect anything. If theres a smaller range, players with spirits on their team will stay closer to the spirits.

No they shouldn't have shorter range. If any of the defensive spirit effects lasted for more than 10 seconds in battle, this might be valid, they may have the same radius of effect as Ranger spirits, but they last for mere seconds, and have long recast times. They can also be destroyed directly like Ranger spirits, wile a ranger spirit might benifit the enemy as well, or hinder your own team, Ritualist spirits simply don't last more than a lick so it is perfectly balanced.
If they had a shorter range, then enemies would just take out the spirit right away and it wouldn't serve as a reasonable defensive boost. Wards are the defensive technique of choice for small areas, and since the area is so small, it cannot be broken, and most wards can be maintained back to back, ritualist spirit only absorb a set amount of damage, in a large group it makes it easy to cover many people, but it's trade off is that protecting large groups doesn't last very long.
Ritualist Binding Rituals would not work with a shorter range, it is the bread and butter of that class, and it's only advantage over monk is his broad coverage protection spirits, it cannot be reduced.

Erm, I take my Rit into FoW, and its worrying you all saying my defences should last for seconds, when i get pull atleast 30 seconds out of all of them, most of the time, long enough for my Ritual Lord to recharge them for me.
I can keep up my spirits indefinatly. But saying that /not signed, because having them at Agro range, or Longbow range would seriously slow your party down. You couldnt Draw Spirit every one, and your energy would be low trying.
If you did this people wouldn't take Ritualists at all, they would slow down the party far too much, waiting for spirit recharge and slowly moving them forward, a stupidly played riualist cna already slow down the party quite well.
